First Class Mail,24 hour delivery, postal charges stated on listing,100% feedback score, but still I have a seller restriction, because of low dsr score for postage and packaging

eBay customer services are a joke, they cannot give me a simple straight answer to a simple question, even though I meet all their requirements, because some buyers must want something for nothing, and are allowed to remain anonymous, the seller has no chance to state his case,a selling restriction is immediately placed on the account

I have been unable to contact anyone "higher up the chain of command"to get a suitable answer .

Has anyone had the same situation, and been able to overcome the seller restriction?

a couple of things you should try and use second class mail to reduce cost plus when you had a email from ebay telling you about your d.s.r,s you should have gave free postage helping to get your d.s.r,s better.

Have you run your seller dashboard to see if you have received any killer 1* or 2* ratings?

The only way to improve your star rating is to offer free p&p. This automatically gives you a 5* rating on every sale (for payments made with paypal).

Add the p&p cost to your auction start price, allowing for the extra fees this will generate.

Ebay are rapidly forcing many sellers to do this.

Your postage costs are higher than most sellers for jigsaws, and ebay usually for-worn you before actually placing a selling restriction, ignore a warning at your peril..

EBay has become a wretched place for sellers. As you say, some buyers seem to resent paying anything at all for p&p while others simply don't understand the system and thing that three or four stars is a good rating.

I think it's simply a racket to drive sellers into offering "free" p&p if they want the five stars that eBay demands.

It isn't free, of course, it's inclusive, so the buyer doesn't get it any cheaper - in fact, by the time sellers factor in eBay's higher final value fee the buyer probably pays more. But eBay gets more fees, which is what it's all about.

ebay are nothing more than a 'venue'

ebay have no right to interfere on how a business conducts itself within the law and is not ebay's concern...the notion that ebay use a buyer's subjective view to then control or damage a business is discriminatory baseless and ludicrous

take control of your own business, stay legal and assert your lawful rights as you would in any situation
