I am horrified to see from the answers on here,  that if a Buyer decides to say that there is something wrong with an item, in order to get a refund, and it goes to the Resolution Centre, it almost always falls in favour of the Buyer...  How can that be fair....??

The help content goes in here!

its not fair, neither is it fair that sellers cannot leave negative feedback. i agree with you but unfortunately they are the rules we all have to abide by unfortunately.

Nobody said it was fair.

It's ebays idea of a fair solution. Buyer returns the item at their own expense and seller refunds their full original payment.

Buyer and seller both lose out on the postage. I'm begining to wonder if ebay have shares in Royal Mail.

Not sure what sort of decision ebay could make when it is a "he said", "she said" situation.

Items do get damaged in the post sometimes when packaging gets torn. That is considered to be the sellers fault as they packaged the item.

 its not fair

but the buyer will file a dispute which will count against you

if ebay resolves it will count more which is why its best to try and grit your tetth and sort it without getting your account damaged
