How can a buyer give a 4* for despatch when every thing I have sold has been despatched within 2 working days of payment.

buyers expect there items yesterday that is the problem.

The 4* from buyer showed up on a seller report.  I didn't know if ebay system would be programmed to stop buyers giving such ratings when obvious despatch times etc had been met.

I am still relatively new to Ebay and don't know which buyer it was that left 4* ratings.  I don't sell very much, but I don't expect to, I just like to knit as a hobby and thought would give ebay ago.  Are there any instructions anywhere to find out who it was.  I don't want to contact them as everyone has there own views and are entitled to them.  I would just like to check what they bought and ensure that my item description was correct as they have marked down on this also.

Your posting shows how ridiculously unfair the rating system is.

From the buyer's point of view, if a seller who posts within one day gets five stars it's perfectly fair to rate your two day service as four star. Or put it another way, what's the point in having a star system if sellers who post things the most quickly don't get the highest marks? Yet eBay treats a four star ratings as bad enough to suspend a seller!

The idiocy of it is that amateur, part time sellers having to fit eBay in between work and domestic responsibilities are expected to achieve the same ratings as full time professional sellers.

Don't imagine it's all an accident or stupidity. EBay has a longstanding ambition to become more like Amazon, a portal for large volume business sellers. Setting standards that small sellers find hard to meet is just part of the pressure to get rid of us!
