i want to add international postage option to my item to allow a non-uk bidder to bid, but this option doesnt seem available when revising my item??? why not and is there any way round it??

Not possible when you have a bid,you can only now use your exemption list to allow international buyers to bid,by adding them to it by user ID see here,http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/sell/buyer-requirements.html#exemption

Hi,

 

If ebay were to allow you to revise the postage on a listing after you have a bid, there would be nothing to stop an unscrupulous seller increasing costs for UK as well.  Hence why you need to go the 'exemption list' route.

"there would be nothing to stop unscrupulous sellers..."

 

If ebay allowed additional postage options, with the requirement that the original postage remained also, then there wouldn't be a problem.

By adding to the exemptions list, how do you compensate for the additional postage?
