I can't achieve power seller status as most of my items sell abroad. Should I block international buyers to get this as I would be top rated

I can't achieve power seller status as most of my items sell abroad. Should I block international buyers to get this as I would be top rated

I would qualify for top rated but as most of my items sell abroad I can't get this because I have to have 100 domestic sales to be a power seller. Should I block international sellers to get this. This seems like it goes against ebays desire to get sellers to sell abroad? My 12 month feedback is 170 100% and DSR 4.9 or 5.0.

Any advice would be appreciated other than the obvious! Regards Steve

There are other criteria to qualify for  TRS

what does it say on your seller dashboard

I have to agree with the above comment, by blocking international sales, how would you increase UK sales by doing this

I can't see how you can't see that not selling aboard means listing to UK buyers only? When I say block international buyers I mean listing onUK only.

Please point out the other ways to TRS. I qualify on all points but I am not a power seller due to lack of UK sales due to items selling abroad!!

The links given above will help you.  One thing to bear in mind is that if most of your sales are international then blocking international buyers is likely to have a significant and adverse effect on your income, something that would far outweigh the very limited benefits of top-rated status.

Your items are already visible on the UK site as well as worldwide. Maybe they are just more appealing to overseas buyers.

If UK buyers wanted to buy them, then they would do exactly that.

If you limit yourself to UK only, when you have clearly identified that your market isoverseas, then why shoot yourself in the foot for TRS in the UK

You can qualify for TRS on other sites from the link I gave you earlier if you generate enough sales overseas :)

thanks online-bakery-uk I aprecaite your help. It does though clearly state in the global that I qualify on every point including 111 transactions and 100 needed.

It then displays an orange flag next to the not a powerseller.

Yes I realise I don't wish to reduce my sales abroad and I'm not going to. It feels as though I am being penalised because I will never get top rated status due to my international sales. I know this is important as I know buyers who only buy off top rated sellers (for whatever reason!).

:(

I see your point, it must be frustrating, as it states here that you need to be a powerseller in UK

I never look at Top Rated Selling status when it comes to collectors' items, which appear to be what you sell.

I do, but not all the time, for new technology.

Really, I wouldn't be bothered if I were you, it's not as if the nice plane model you have currently in your listing, not a collector myself, but a friend of mine is mad about them, I guess that's why it's what attracted my attention, is likely to be found somewhere else.

People coming to you will be looking for quality of the item, not the number of feedbacks you have or your status, not as the main judgement criteria
