How long does a seller have to post an item after a winning bid and payment?

An item that ended over 8 days ago still has not been posted! The seller, who says she is pregnant, cannot get to the post office. Is there a time limit before I start asking for a refund? How long do you have to wait?

thanks

Dennis

Hi,

The seller shold send within the despatch time they have on their listing (in the P&P section).    If they want to be eligible for Seller Protection then they should post the item within 7 days of receiving cleared payment.

You can open an Item Not Received dispute via the Resolution Centre 3 days after the estimated delivery date shown on the listing.

Unless they have had unforeseen complications, don't understand why they can't get the P.O., or perhaps ask someone to send it for her!

Surely she thought of how she would get to the post office before she wrote the listing!

Could well be an excuse.

Ask her for a refund now if you want.

If you click on the drop down menu to the right of the item in my ebay you will see the option to resolve a problem.

If you select this you can follow the links for an item not received. It will tell you when you can open a dispute. This will be 3 days after the latest estimated delivery date. this depends on the sellers estimated disptch time on the listing as well as the postal method chosen.
